Mind Brain Parenting was founded by Jenny Woo, a Harvard researcher, parent educator, and mom of three (a singleton and twins). Her entire career has been dedicated to developing big and small human beings: Jenny has worked as a teacher, school administrator, University lecturer, MBA career coach, Human Capital consultant, HR manager, 360 assessment executive coach, and certified fitness trainer.
While at the Harvard Graduate School of Education with a focus on developmental cognitive neuroscience, Jenny realized her true calling: level the playing field so all parents can gain access to insights from the best child development experts, psychologists, neuroscientists, counselors, and researchers.
With the support of her colleagues, mentors, and friends, she founded Mind Brain Parenting to bridge research to practice for parents and teachers. She went through countless iterations to understand the best vehicle for knowledge transfer that truly honors what parents need and can realistically do in their busy lives. As a mom of three herself, Jenny valued simplicity over complexity and quality over quantity in realizing every parent's dream of preparing their children for life.
Thus, 52 Essential Conversations was born to help children develop skills for life. Her goal is to create a movement of authentic and meaningful intergenerational conversations that connect and develop compassionate and inspired children and adults.
As highlighted in The Harvard Gazette, the official news of Harvard University and featured on the homepage of Harvard Graduate School of Education.
In her spare time, she enjoys connecting with nature and getting goofy with her children and husband. She loves making things by hand and up-cycling everyday materials. While her work has been featured in celebrity weddings and national charity events, her proudest moments are her everyday wins as a mom.
